Snežana Vučetić Bohm (b. 1963 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia) photographer and visual artist, working with photography, video, sculpture and objectbased installations. Lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. She is a graduate of Konstfack, University of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm, Sweden and Valand Academy of Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden.
My base is photography. My starting point is documentarian and conceptual. I then approach the process using imagination and fiction to find new images towards an abstraction to reconstruct the image. I am intrested in exploring the means of representation and reality. How it can be transformative in power structures of the society and how the identity is affected by it. This is processed through my work such as the ‘micro performances for one-self’ in my ongoing work titled, ‘Self Portraits’ and the work that resonates around the diaspora of Yugoslavian migration and being in exile.
